Definition: What is "Amelogenesis"?
Amelogenesis is a disease that forms enamel on teeth. It occurs during the crown stage of a person's tooth development or during the formation of dentine.
Types
Amelogenesis has two stages. The first stage is called "secretory phase" wherein proteins & organic matrix form a partially mineralized enamel, while the second stages is known as the "maturation stage" wherein the enamel mineralization is completed.
